Ronald J. Rioux, Vice-Chair, Trustee:

Ron Rioux has 40 years of experience in the financial services industry and serves as President/CEO of St. Mary's Bank in Manchester, N.H., the nation's first credit union established in 1908.  Since joining St. Mary's in 1993, he has organized two subsidiary companies:  St. Mary's Financial Services, Inc., and St. Mary's Insurance Services, Inc. (SMIS); he serves as President and as a Director of SMIS.
Ron was also instrumental in the creation of America's Credit Union Museum in Manchester, which documents the history of the credit union movement in the United States at the site of the first St. Mary's Bank office.  Ron served as President of Indian Head Bank & Trust Company of Portsmouth, N.H., prior to their acquisition by Fleet Bank, at which time he became Fleet Bank's Senior Executive Vice President of Retail Banking in New Hampshire.
He served as a consultant to Governor Judd Gregg during the banking crisis of the late 1980s.  Ron is a member of the Finance Council and the Long Range Planning Commission of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Manchester and is Vice Chairman of New Hampshire Catholic Charities. Ron is a member of the Board of Trustees of Catholic Medical Center (CMC) in Manchester, N.H., and he serves as Chairman of CMC's Finance Committee and as Chairman of CMC's Investment Committee.  He served as a Trustee of Exeter Hospital for 16 years.  Ron is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a BS in Business Administration. He has been a resident of Exeter since 1976.
